A relaxed performance is where the ambience of the auditorium and usual theatre ‘rules’ are deliberately relaxed.  These performances may therefore be more comfortable and enjoyable for those with additional needs.

Differences from the usual show may include things such as:

• Heightened lighting in the auditorium
• Freedom to get up / walk around the auditorium
• A place to ‘chill out’ if there is a need to have quiet time during the show

The actors and creative team will also have thought carefully about loud music or noises which might be turned down, or specific movements or audience interaction may be adapted. There will also be extra support from the excellent front of house team.
