News from 2014
A big thank you and well done to our fundraising committee and our cast from 'Oliver!' for all of the hard work they did in December towards fundraising for the show. We had the Christmas Fayre at The Brook Soham on Saturday 6th December and singing Christmas Carols at Ely Sainsbury's on Saturday 13th December. Thank you to The Brook in Soham for allowing our fundraising team to hold raffles at their annual pantomime which this year was 'Aladdin'.

What a night was had including performances from 'Acorn Antiques', from our new Nancy and other current Viva members. We had 20 awards to give out and to choose those winners is never easy as everyone in Viva deserves an award for the hard work they do. You can find out who won HERE.

'Les Miserables' School Edition
We are over the moon with the fantastic response for the latest Viva Youth Production of 'Les Miserables'. The Ross Peers Sports Hall in Soham was transformed by Blueshed Studios and we had our very own West End! The show was a great success and we cannot thank everyone who was involved enough. Not only those involved in the show from the cast, hair and makeup, backstage, props, costumes, set, lighting and so on but those of you who came to support us. Viva is very lucky to have such great support from our local community and without all of you we would not be able to continue the work we do so thank you!

'Pride and Prejudice' hits the spot
A huge well done to those involved in the summer Theatre Group
Production 'Pride and Prejudice'. We were lucky enough to perform this at St Andrew's Church Soham in June giving the cast the perfect setting for Elizabeth
and Darcy to fall for one another. This production was put together over a 3 month period with everyone from cast to crew being volunteers from the local community. With help from Classworks in Cambridge, Kate Taylor and Khaki Devil the whole cast were dressed to impressed and gave a fantastic show.

Viva's NODA awards and a new edition!
NODA Awards: ‘Best musical’ and ‘Best overall production’ categories in the annual National Operatic and Dramatic Association awards for its ‘The Sound of Music’ production at Ely Cathedral last year.
As if that wasn’t enough to shout about, we have a new edition to the Viva family! Viva’s new vice president, English actress Clare Buckfield, best known for playing Jenny Porter in the BBC sitcom 2point4 Children for most of the 90s.
Keep calm and BOUNCE!
And so they have! The Bouncers team came to the end of their reign in 2014 after performing in total eight times since May 2013.
This included the Five Bells in Burwell, The Brook Soham, the Cambridge Drama Festival and the Haverhill Drama Festival.
Not only did they come away with Best Director and Adjudicators Award at the Haverhill Festival in 2013 but they received third place at the Cambridge Drama Festival in 2014 as well as Gaz receiving the Best Actor award.
The feedback has been fantastic! The cast and crew cannot thank everyone in the local community enough for their support. Well done team!
